The Black Cape with Collar is made from Grosgrain which is fabric where the weft is heavier than the warp creating prominent transverse ribs. The leaf pattern on the surface is individually stitched and there is added intricate pulled work and cut work. The cape is not pattern matched down the back seam. The collar is interfaced with linen. It has a silk lining and there is a hook and eye fastening.
