Volunteers needed for the School's Team

Do you love working with children and helping them learn though hands on learning? We are looking for volunteers to join our schools team. Colne Valley Museum is open during the week for school trips and we rely upon dedicated volunteers to keep these days going.

These days are lots of fun and we teach the children how to make butter, bread, and prepare vegetables to have in their own soup for lunch. We teach them how to spin wool, wash like the Victorians did with a posser and mangle, hang out the washing, beat the rugs and polish the shoes.

We tell stories, make corn favours and lavender bags and you will be working with a lovely team of volunteers. If you don't already have a DBS we can arrange that.
