Ladies Black laced shoes

Catalogue Number: GOLCV 02/2003
Location: GA2

The black leather lace up shoes are probably 1930s in style.  The fastening is laced similar to a placket.  The 'placket' features 2 rows of triangular cutwork with stitching and 3 eyelets each side.  There is a double line of stitching around the heel and where the front of the shoe is attached to the back of the shoe.  There are segs on the heels which are made of metal and designed to prevent the heel wearing down quickly.
