Colne Valley Museum is a charity run entirely by volunteers. The museum simply wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for members of the wider community who give freely of their time.
We always need more volunteers so if you have a few hours a month/week/occasionally to spare, there is a wide variety of tasks, ranging from stewarding, helping in the shop/cafe, school visits, publicity/marketing, demonstrating crafts (we can teach you), maintenance, cooking, house-keeping and looking after our archive collection – we really do have something for everyone.
Would you like to join our friendly team of helpers, learn a new skill or offer your experience? You will have the satisfaction of playing an important role in the community as well as helping to preserve the past for future generations. Do contact us, we’d love to hear from you! Leave a message for our Volunteers’ co-ordinator and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
We hold regular meetings for our volunteers and anyone interested in volunteering at our museum. The next one will be in the New Year, date still to be arranged . Come along then and have a cuppa and see what a wide range of opportunities we have to offer. Or you can contact us on 01484 659762 (answer machine) or on firstname.lastname@example.org
Volunteer’s Christmas Party
It was decided not to fix another date for a Volunteer’s meeting as Christmas is almost on us! However, it is proposed to hold a Christmas Party, at CVM on Friday 14th December at 7 pm. £1.00 per head, bring own drink, Christmas cake, cheese etc to be provided. All welcome, but names/numbers would be a good idea. Please sign up on the notice board or inform Margaret Woodcock of Anne Lord.
