Embroidery at the Craft Class
Several members meet every other Tuesday evening at the museum to learn and practise various traditional crafts. It originally started as a lace-making class but soon developed into other areas.
The group is a ‘self-help’ one, with everyone helping each other. If a member wishes to learn a particular craft then others in the group who can will teach that member.
Pillow Lace-making
All the present members lead busy lives but find putting aside one evening a week ensures that they find time to do something for themselves.
Weaving on an Inkle Loom
Crafts on-going at the moment are lace-making, weaving, embroidery, tatting, cross-stitch, and knitting.
